Tlmočenie zámerov, nádejí a sľubov

Keď tlmočíme zámer, nádej alebo sľub, používame primerané oznamovacie sloveso, nasledované 'that' vetou, obsahujúcou 'would', alebo vetou s neurčitkom to. Slovesá použité v tomto vzorci zahŕňajú: hope, promise, threaten, guarantee a swear. Nezabudnite, že slovo 'that' je pri použití tejto vety voliteľné, tak ako v prvom príklade nižšie.

"I will not tell anyone your secret" he said.	He swore that he would not tell anyone my secret. ALEBO He swore not to tell anyone my secret.
